Consumer use of AI has been around for a few years already. While I use it on a daily basis at work, at home I’ve never really had the chance to play with it for a few reasons. One, priorities have since shifted to have more time with family. Second, I’ve aways told myself I will only start heavy use of AI if I can self-host LLMs. But times have changed (and so have the prices of RAM and GPU too)....
